  The family was starting to leave. Natalie looked for Olivia and found her in the den on the sofa making out. Natalie cleared her throat.

  “Everyone is leaving.”

  Olivia fixed her hair and clothes as they got up and walked out. Quincy walked in front of them. He shook hands with Leon. Quincy whispered in his ear and Leon laughed. Natalie love to hear that sound. Olivia whispered to Natalie.

  Natalie and Olivia laughed so hard they had tears in their eyes. Olivia kissed Natalie and Leon as she grabbed Teri. They headed out the door. Natalie sat on the sofa and closed her eyes. Leon sat next to her.

  “They loved you.” he said holding her hands

  “You think so. Your dad was extremely happy.” she said as she propped her feet up on the sofa

  “I am glad we had enough food. You were right that kid ate four plates.” she said as he laughed, “I was on the verge of telling him to just eat out of the pot.”

  They laughed until their sides started to hurt. Natalie finished clearing the table. It took her an hour to finished cleaning the kitchen. She came out and he was on the sofa sleeping with his arm covering his face and his pants unbutton. She went into the bathroom and took a shower. She started her monthly.

  She went back into the living room. She lay with her head on the side of his head as she lay at the other end of the sofa.

  He opened one eye and looked at her.

  “Would you still love me even if I can’t get pregnant?”

  He opened both eyes, “Natalie, you are my heart and soul. I am in love with you and if we can not have children then we can adopt. If we adopt I want eight.” he said smiling

  “Eight?”

  “Four boys and four girls.” he said smiling, “Natalie, come on you do not have to carry them.”

  “You are silly. I am going to sleep.” she said turning over.

  “At least I did not say twelve.” he smiled

  Natalie elbows him as she smiled, “Go to sleep.”

  Natalie could not believe she has been married for five months. They had a romantic Christmas. The week before they had a toy drive at their business and started a collection for MS. Leon’s businesses were been doing well. They agreed that they will not give each other anything for Christmas. Natalie was just happy to have him. They brought New Years making love.   “Julian, I need your help.” she said looking at him

  “What do you need help with?”

  “My job has cut my hours. The baby needs pampers and milk. I tried the father but he does not want anything to do with him.”

  Leon felt sorry for the child. He looked at Leon with big brown eyes.

  “What is the baby’s name?”

  “Jaylen.”

  “I am sorry about your situation. Jaylen is an innocent person in all this. I would have to ask my wife.” he said dialing her number

  “Hello.”

  “Natalie, I have Mercedes and Jaylen in my office. She is asking for help to buy the baby’s pampers and milk.”

  “What about the father?”

  “Not there.”

  “I would say no but the baby did not have anything to do with it.”

  “I know.”

  “You are going to give me those generic answers because she is staring you in the face.” she said

  “What questions?”

  “Where you meet him?” asked Stacy

  Natalie told them where they meet and how they got together. The women were all smiling.

  She gave to Jessie, “Good night ladies.” said Natalie as she went to the cash register.

  The ladies left and Natalie locked the door and pulled the shades. She stood there and heard them scream. The women leaned on the glass and screamed “Hell Yeah”

  Natalie grabbed the laundry, the money and the receipts for today. She took them to the car. She locked up and went home. She went to the garage and started the laundry. She walked into the house as Leon was in the den watching TV in his recliner. She grabbed something to drink and went into the bedroom. She showered and put on her night clothes. She went into the den and climbed into the chair with him and went to sleep. He held her as she slept. He took her into the bedroom and got into bed. She lay in his arms feeling safe and loved.

  She smiled at Natalie, “What?” asked Natalie sitting on the bed

  “I am excited you are having a baby, now Teri will not be alone.” she smiled

  “I am happy. I have the sweetest man in the world and now I am having his child.” she said looking at Olivia, “How is it with Quincy?”
