  Natalie shook her head, “I can go on my own.” she said trying to sit up

  Leon picked her up and laid her on the sofa. He thanked them for coming. He walked them to the door. Stacy and Jessie walked in and sat beside her.

  “Is it true about you being pregnant?” asked Stacy

  Natalie smiled, “Yes, I am.”

  Leon came in. “Excuse me ladies, I have to take my wife to see the doctor.”

  “Will he see me without an appointment?” she asked trying to get up

  Leon pushed her back down, “I called him and he said come right now.”

  “Honey, I would need to walk.” she said

  “Why walk when you can be carried?” he smiled picking her up

  She smiled and laid on his chest as he walked through the salon to his car. He put her in and took off to the doctor’s office. They got there and Leon carried her up to his office. The nurse rushed them into an exam room. Leon put her on the table. He stood by and held her. She closed her eyes and felt calm. The door opened and Dr. Jones walked in. He started to examine her.

  He looked at Natalie, “Can you tell me what happen before you passed out?”

  Natalie told him what happened, “Leon was holding me and I started shaking and that is all I can remember.”

  “Natalie, I can get testing for you, Leon and Claire if you promise no more hyperventilating. I do not think Leon and I can take it anymore.” he said smiling

  “I will Dr. Jones. I just want to be sure my family is okay.”

  “Fine, make an appointment with the nurse and I will see you then. Go home and rest.”

  Natalie smiled, “I will. Leon will see to that.” she said looking at him

  “You know I will.” he said

  They made an appointment for next week and they left. Natalie insists that she drive her car home. Leon gave in and told her he will meet her at home with Claire. Natalie promised to meet him there. She went into the salon and grabbed her things as she told the ladies bye. She got in her car and went home. She took a shower and put on comfortable clothes and sat in the living room and waited for Leon. She drifted off to sleep. She woke up to little hands playing in her face. She opened her eyes and smiled at her daughter. She kissed her and held her. Leon was sitting on the floor holding onto her. Natalie lay on her back and held Claire in the air. She laughed. Natalie laid her on her stomach and caressed her back. Leon got up and started dinner. Natalie held her close and prayed that they did not have what Marcus had. She felt sorry for Mercedes and especially Jaylen. Natalie though, ‘She would not stand by him when her child lies in a grave.’

  Natalie smiled as Claire slept on her chest. She caressed her hair. She drifted back to sleep. Leon came in and took Claire and put her in the bed. He sat by Natalie’s head and caressed her forehead. Natalie’s dream was disturbing. She woke up looking into Leon’s face.

  “Are you okay?”

  “Just a bad dream but I am fine.” she said touching his face, “I will feel better if you kiss me.” she said touching his lips

  He smiled and began kissing her. “Feel better?”

  “Much better.” she smiled

  “Come on dinner is ready.” he said as he helped her up

  They had dinner in the kitchen. She went into den to watch TV. Leon got up and checked on Claire. She was playing with her fingers. He picked her up and took her in the den. Leon sat in his recliner with Claire. He looked at Natalie and motioned for her to join them. Natalie sat in the chair with her husband and daughter. He held them and felt his world being perfect. He did not know what he would do if he lost Natalie or his kids. He thought of Jaylen and felt his heart broke a little. Claire began to fuss. Natalie took her and gave her a bath. She gave her a bottle. She tried to keep her mind on happy things but Marcus and his news kept creeping back into her mind. She held onto her daughter trying not to cry. Claire went to sleep. Natalie put her in the crib. Natalie went into her room and closed the door. She got into the bed and began to cry. She did not here Leon when he came in. She felt his arms holding her.

  “What if I got that disease?” she said

  “We will get through this.” he said caressing her head

  “How do you know?”

  “I believe and I know we will get through this.”

  “Leon, I am scared.” she said through tears

  “I am too.” he said holding her tightly, “Just try to sleep.” he said

  Natalie tears dried up as she drifted to sleep. Leon thoughts were also on his family. How will he protect them from this? How would he live if they are affected? He looked out the window as Natalie held tighter to him. Leon’s mind kept asking “How”

  Natalie was the first to give blood. She took Claire and Leon gave blood. Now they had to hold Claire while they took her blood. She screamed at the top of her lungs. Her face was red as an apple. When they finished she wrapped her little arms around her daddy’s neck and cried. He held her in his arms and kissed her head. Natalie touched her back and kissed her cheeks. Natalie had to drive because Claire would not let go of Leon. They got home. He sat her in his lap as he began to feed her. She pouted but ate her food. Natalie was tired and went to take a nap. She went to sleep as her head hit the pillow.

  Her dreams were so real. She was walking through the hospital and saw Marcus there spraying the room with his infected blood. He looked at her and laughs. He opened his mouth and his tongue came out and pushed the door opened and began licking her legs and moving up her body. Natalie screamed but his tongue went into her mouth. She fought it as she tried to pull it out of her mouth. He just stood there laughing. She finally got it out. The door opened as Leon and Claire held hands. They went into the room. Natalie screamed ‘No’ but they did not hear her. Claire looked at her with her sandy brown hair and waved at her. She said softly, ‘Love you mommy’. Natalie screamed her name. She screamed and screamed for her child.

  Leon was playing with Claire on the floor when he heard Natalie screaming. He picked up Claire and ran to the bedroom. Natalie was still screaming when he shook her.

  “Natalie!” he said as she jumped up looked around

  She looked at him and hugged him. She took Claire and held her. She cried. Leon sat beside her and held her until she was calm.

  “Do you want to talk about it?” he asked caressing her head as she began to play with Claire

  Natalie told him of her dream. “I am scared, Leon.” she said sitting up

  “We can get through this.” he said rubbing her back

  Natalie had placed Claire on her stomach and she began to scoot backwards. She smiled. “Did you see what she did?” asked Natalie looking at him

  Leon shook his head no. Natalie moved off the bed and put Claire in the middle. Claire began moving again and she went all the way back to Leon. He was about to touch her when she flipped over. His eyes light up as he picked her up. He kissed her and she grabbed his dread.

  “You and your mother has this thing with pulling my hair.” he said as he blew into her stomach

  Claire laughed. Natalie got back on the bed and kissed her.

  “We used it to get your attention.” she smiled, “Hers is for you to play with her and mine is for you to help me relieve stress.” she said smiling

  “You haven’t done it in a while.” he said playing with Claire

  Natalie smiled and eased up to his ear so only he could hear it.

  “I would love for you to tease me with your tongue and make me wet. I love to have you deep in me making me scream your name. I would love to have you talk dirty in your Island tongue to make my body go crazy. I need you so bad that it hurts. My nipples are hard right now.” she said pulling his dread and licked his ear

  Leon smiled as he began to speak in his Island tongue, “Mommy needs Daddy to help her.” he said to Claire as he took her into her room and put her in the crib

  Claire was playing with her toys as Leon left the room. He got to his bedroom and Natalie was o
n the bed naked. He quickly took off his clothes and hover over her as he kissed her lips. She pulled his dreads and wrapped her arms around his neck. He whispered what she wanted to hear in her ear as she began to feel the ocean being let go between her legs. Leon hands touched her all over her body especially between her legs. She almost lost it then he removed his hand. Leon eased between her legs and slowly thrust himself into her a little bit at a time. Natalie reacted wildly as she closed her eyes and felt him all over her. She was about to scream when he covered her mouth with his. She moaned and his thrust became faster and faster. Natalie held on as he drove deeper in her and she called out his name and his body shook. Natalie smiled as he kissed her slowly.

  “You are very naughty.” he said kissing her neck

  “You made me this way.” she said

  He looked at her, “How?”

  She looked at him and touched his face, “By loving me.”

  He kissed her passionately, “You had my heart when we were dancing. You had my love when we were in the cabin.”

  “You had me when you spoke at the office.” she said smiling

  They kissed and Natalie pushed him back. “While you are in a loving mood, I need to asked you a question?” she said as his mouth was on her neck

  “What?” he asked nibbling on her ear

  “Olivia and Quincy’s wedding is in April.”

  “Hmm.” he said moving down to her breast

  She tried to remember what she was saying. He was not making it easy for her.

  “Leon.” she said softly as she moved under him, “They are having it in St. Thomas.”

  Leon looked up at her, “He did not tell me that.” he said sitting up

  Natalie felt the fire slowly dying in her body. “She told me the other day. She wants me to be her maid of honor.”

  Leon put on his shorts, “He wants me to be his best man.” he said sitting on the bed

  Natalie went to him and hugged him from behind feeling his chest.

  “I know you said you will never go back there but the two people we love wants us there.” she said in his ear, “Can you just think about it?”

  He held her hands, “I will think about it. I am going to check on Claire.” he said getting up

  Natalie sighed and went to take a shower. She came out and got back into bed. She heard the phone ring and Leon talking. He came in the room with Claire and put her on the bed.

  “We will be here.” he said, “See you at seven. Bye”

  Natalie looked at him, “Who was that?”

  “Pastor Williams. He will be over to talk to us tonight.”

  Natalie smiled and began playing with Claire as Leon got up and took a shower.

  Pastor Williams sat in the living room with Leon discussing the bible. Natalie stayed as long as she could but Claire was being cranky. Natalie excused herself and took Claire a bath and got her ready for bed. She feed Claire and gave her a bottle as she went right to sleep. Natalie got up and went back into the living room. Leon and Pastor Williams were shaken hands.

  “We can continue this Saturday, if you like.” said Pastor Williams

  “I would.” said Leon as he held the door opened, “See you Saturday.”

  “Nice meeting you Leon and nice seeing you again Natalie.”

  “Bye, Pastor Williams.”

  Natalie sat on the sofa with her feet up. He sat on the sofa putting her feet in his lap. He was rubbing her feet.

  “We can go.” he said not looking at her

  “Go where?” she asked with her eyes closed

  He looked at her, “To St. Thomas.”

  She opened her eyes, “Are you sure about this?”

  “Yes, my aunt would want to meet her niece and I miss my private spot.” he said winking at her

  Natalie put her feet down and kissed him. He smiled against her lips. She gently pulled his hair.

  “We need to finish what you started.” she said

  He thought back to the conversation they had while he was kissing her.

  “You mean this.” he said opening her blouse and kissing her breast

  “Yes” she said softly, “Something like that.”

  He picked her up and took her to the bedroom. He took off her clothes and he took of his clothes. He started kissing where he left off. Natalie body seemed to heat right up and she needed him. They foreplay for twenty minutes until Natalie whispered, ‘Please.’ Leon entered her and her fire rose higher. They could not get enough of each other. Leon tried to hold on but he hit a spot that shook him to the core and he felt the room went into a spin. Natalie closed her eyes and smiled.

  “We are rabbits.”

  Leon laughed as he held her.

  Natalie packed her luggage and Claire’s bag. She had everything ready when Leon got back. Natalie gave the ladies a week off. She made sure the place was locked up before she left. Leon made sure that his businesses were under control before he left. Natalie looked at her body in the mirror. She was six months pregnant and she felt like a whale. Claire was crawling and pulling up on things. She was trying to speak. Natalie smiled when she remember them eating breakfast. Leon was feeding Claire and she said ‘DaDa’. Leon almost crushed her as he was hugging her so tight.

  Natalie sat on the bed. She had everything ready to go. She went to see if Claire was up from her nap. She walked in the room and Claire was sitting up and hitting her rattle. Natalie picked her up and changed her diaper and clothes. She brushed her hair. Claire’s hair was more curly than straight. Natalie let if fall. She heard the door opened and she put Claire down. Claire crawled out the room and went to her daddy as he came down the hall. He picked her up and played with her. Natalie came out the room.

  “We are set to go. I will put the bags in the car and we are off to St. Thomas.” said Leon as he kissed her

  Natalie smiled at him. Since he has been talking to Pastor Williams he had changed. He had become happier especially when you mention St. Thomas. He does not have the hate in his heart for his dad. Natalie was happy to see him smiling all over. He took her to church in February and he enjoyed it so much that he goes every Sunday and closes up early to be there on Wednesday night.

  The plane ride was horrible. Natalie got sick on the plane. Leon held Claire as Natalie visited the bathroom. They finally landed. Natalie felt a little better. They walked through the airport. The door opened and the breezed kissed Natalie. She loved that feeling when she comes here. Leon got a rental car and drove to his aunt house. Claire was asleep. Natalie was looking at the sun shining on the water. Leon parked in the drive and got out. He took Claire in his arms and helped Natalie out.

  “You looked better.” he said as he kissed her

  “I am on land.” she smiled

  They walked to the front door and Aunt Rose opened the door.

  “Julian! Natalie!” she said hugging and kissing them. “Natalie again?”

  Natalie smiled and rubbed her stomach, “Yes again.”

  Claire opened her eyes and looked at Aunt Rose. Aunt Rose looked at her and covered her mouth.

  “She looked just like Claire and Leon when they were little. She is so beautiful.” said Aunt Rose as she reached for her

  Claire went to her and looked at her parents and smiled.

  “Bless her heart. What is her name?”

  “Claire Renee.” said Natalie sitting down

  “That fits her perfect.”

  Claire wanted to get down on the floor. Aunt Rose let her down as she crawled to a stuff animal on the floor. She began playing with it.

  “Do you want something to eat?” asked Aunt Rose

  “Yes, I am starving.” said Natalie as Leon laughed

  “What is so funny, Julian?” asked Aunt Rose

  “She got sick on the plane and now she is hungry.”

  Aunt Rose laughed as she went to the kitchen to fix a plate for Natalie.

  “Where are Quincy and Olivia?” asked Leon

 
; “They went to the beach. They will be back soon.” said Aunt Rose as she brought Natalie a plate, “Leon there is a letter for you on the TV. It came yesterday.”

  Leon opened it up and read the letter. “Aunt is this true? They want to buy the land where the house is and my grandfather’s land.”

  “Yes, they called me several times. They want to make this island better. They wanted to turn it into a tourist attraction that would put a lot of people to work. I told them I do not own the land but you do.”

  “How?” asked Natalie sharing her plate with Claire

  “My mom’s father was a rich man that had a house in the hills. He had about 25 acre of land. Which is mostly the whole island?” he said laughing, “When he died it went to my mom and when she died it went to Claire and me. Since I am the only one living, naturally it is mine.” Leon said walking to the kitchen

  “Why are they asking you to sell now?” asked Natalie

  “His father’s house and the property behind it have value. They can turn it into a hotel with a view of the waterfalls.” said Aunt Rose

  “You mean the waterfalls are yours too.” asked Natalie looking in the direction of the kitchen

  Leon poked his head around the corner and winked at her. Claire wanted more rice and chicken. Aunt Rose fixed her a plate of her own and put it on the floor next to the sofa. Leon came out and sat next to Claire and ate his food.

  “What are you going to do?” asked Natalie

  “I do not know. First I would have to call them and set up a meeting and then talk it over with my beautiful pregnant wife and make a decision.” he said kissing Claire

  Claire picked up some food and put it in her daddy’s mouth. She laughed.

  “I need to lay down.” said Natalie

  “I will show you to your room.” said Aunt Rose

  Natalie walked down the hall to her room and got in the bed. She closed her eyes and fell right to sleep. Claire screamed and Natalie jumped up. She ran to the door and saw Teri playing with her. Teri ran to Natalie and kissed her. Natalie went back to bed watching the sun starting to go down. The door opened and Olivia came in and lay next to her.
